I wanted to tell you that I ordered the "Hedgehogs Unleashed" DVD
from Amazon a couple of months ago to help me decide if I really
wanted a hedgehog and to learn more about them. Thanks so much for
such a fun and informative DVD! I learned alot and a few days ago we
got our first baby hedgie! She is a dear and I feel confident that I
am caring for her correctly. My 3 kids also love the DVD and often
watch it just for fun! They're well informed about hedgies now too!
Well thanks--you should do a book too, and maybe a more detailed book/
dvd about breeding hedgies and different color specifics! Thanks

I got your hedgehog video for my wife for Christmas. We both found it very interesting and well photographed.
We've had several hedgies; with us now are Payton, son of our 'famous' Hoover (undefeated in Olympics hurdles) and Buckminster (Bucky), a very handsome albino.

My husband and I purchased our
hedgie from a local petstore that we deal with quite a bit and just
wanted some additional info. your video was extremly
helpful...especially with the way to pick her up. She is getting
better with each day. She doesn't bite quite as much as when we first
got her. I actually did not know about the temperature thing until I
watched your video, so we really watch her temp in that room now.

Hi Jill

The video was very helpful-the topics that you covered were very informative. I'm very visual so the DVD was great for me to see the different aspect of owning a hedgehog.
But the bad news is --I have not found a hedgehog yet.--not for lack of trying ---I have a couple of leads that I'm still pursuing--wish me luck.
You might consider doing a DVD on only breeding --for people who are interested and wish to see first hand --before making that commitment.

We loved the video, thanks so much. We've all watched it several times already :) .
The little red haired girl in your video looks a lot like my younger son Noah! I'll attach a pic so you can see. I rarely see hair so red and curly as his.
Oh, the tape also seemed to survive the weather just fine :) .
The video was really so helpful. I got the cocoa butter for his ears. His skin does look kind of dry.
I switched to your Purina One entirely. When I mixed it in with the hedgehog food he had been receiving, he would just pick out the purina ;) . Apparently, he doesn't like the hedgehog food nearly as much, and he's smart enough to pick around it ;) .
I've got his cage around 74 degrees with a heating pad strapped to the outside of one side, plus a reptile heat lamp over the top.
Of the quills that fall out occasionally, more than 50% of each one is white. There's a smaller segment (maybe 30%) of dark brown closer to the top. If that's what you mean, I guess he might be a snowflake chocolate. That's a fun sounding description :) .
We just adore him, he is an absolute delight.

You really packed a lot of great information into this video. You helped confirm that I am on the right track with feeding and habitat, etc. Even though my girl is still a bit huffy (had her for about a week). . .you noted that if a HH comes out of that quickly then they had been socialized and probably just needs to get more used to me. I adopted her from an ad, so do not know exactly where she originated, but I feel confident that soon we'll be best friends with a bit of patience. Being able to see the people interact with their HH's as you explain the different aspects of ownership was better than any book I could have found. Thanks for unleashing the hog!
